Model: My Brother
Location: My house
Theme: Children Photography.
My theme is, I'm trying to capture the awkwardness of the model in his in between stage of being a teenager.
The central idea of this photo is to capture the awkwardness of the model in his in between stage of being a teenager. The model is showing how he's playing the rubiks cube, and sitting on a skate board. Also how he is contemplating on if he wants to skate board or if he wants to sit and play the rubik cube. This picture is portraying the awkwardness of the model, which is what i was trying to capture. The facial expression of the model is trying to figure out what he wants to do, ride the skateboard, or wanting to play the rubiks cube. He has to make a very important decision about what he wants to do. The composition of this picture is getting better. The lines make the picture make the picture more interesting. Because the line in the middle is going towards the model. Also the one thirds two thirds rule comes into play with this picture. There is more of the ground then there is of the street, which makes the picture more interesting. The lighting of this picture is actually really good. I used all natural lighting, no strobe, or hot lights. The model is well lit as well, so there isn't really any shadows in the picture. The emotional impact in this picture is to try and portray the awkwardness of the model, but also showing the awkwardness of the in between stage of becoming a teenager.
I changed my theme a tiny bit to try and capture my idea. I chose my brother as a model, because it was easier to shoot him, cause he's always with me. Plus he is in that in between stage of becoming a teenager. My model does a good job at portaying what i tell him i need to be portrayed. My senior ex idea did change throughout this process, first i wanted to capture the beauty of the beach, then i wanted to capture children, with awkward and serious. Finally, i changed my theme to children photography, trying to capture the awkwardness of a teenager.
